Wellington holds a place in my heart that goes deeper than photography. I grew up as an equestrian — horses were my whole world before cameras ever entered the picture — and when I work in Wellington, I’m not just a photographer showing up to a barn. I understand the bond between a rider and their horse because I’ve lived it. From January through April, the Winter Equestrian Festival transforms this community into the epicenter of the equestrian world — twelve weeks of world-class competition that draws riders, trainers, and families from across the globe. The Global Dressage Festival runs alongside it, and the International Polo Club Palm Beach hosts Sunday matches that feel more like theater than sport. This is where I do some of my most meaningful work.
My equestrian photography sessions are built around the relationship between horse and rider. We might shoot at your barn along South Shore Boulevard, in the fields near Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, or at one of the countless private estates that line Pierson Road and South Road. I know how to work around horses — how to read their body language, how to keep a session calm and unhurried, how to position myself so the light catches a horse’s eye without a flash disrupting the moment.

My senior sessions in Wellington include professional hair and makeup, because I’ve seen firsthand how much it changes the energy of a shoot when someone feels genuinely confident. We can work at the Wellington Environmental Preserve, where the trails and boardwalks give us natural textures and soft, filtered light. We can shoot around the Mall at Wellington Green for a more urban feel, or head to one of the many tree-lined neighborhoods in the village that offer quiet beauty without having to drive far.

We start at the barn with your horse, then transition to a second location for your non-equestrian looks. It’s one session, two completely different vibes, and the results are always worth it.
