Book Your Senior Session
This Is Your Moment
Senior year is one of the most exciting, bittersweet chapters of your life — and your portraits should feel just as real as this moment does. This isn't your parents' studio session with a stool and a backdrop. This is a full experience: professional hair and makeup, a styling consultation to plan every outfit, access to my client closet, and a session that feels more like a day out with a friend than a photoshoot.
For the girls: You're going to see yourself in a way you haven't before. We're talking fashion-forward, colorful, completely custom portraits that show off your personality. Your mom is going to cry (happy tears, I promise). And moms — you're a huge part of this experience too. From helping plan outfits to sneaking in a few mother-daughter shots, this is a celebration for both of you.
For the guys: I know, I know — you're probably being dragged into this by your mom. But here's the thing: my guy sessions are easy, relaxed, and actually fun. No weird poses, no forced smiles. I'll have you laughing within the first five minutes, and by the end you'll have portraits that look effortlessly cool and totally like you. Most guys leave saying, "Okay, that was way better than I expected."
How It Works
The Full Senior Experience
Styling Consultation
We'll hop on a call or meet up to plan your outfits, locations, and the overall vibe of your session. I'll send you a personalized style guide and you'll get access to my client closet for accessories and statement pieces.
Session Day
You'll arrive to professional hair and makeup (yes, it's included!), then we'll spend two relaxed hours shooting across multiple locations with 3-4 outfit changes. I bring the music, the energy, and all the direction — you just show up and have fun.
Reveal & Ordering
About two weeks after your session, you'll come back for your reveal appointment where we'll go through every image together. This is usually the moment moms start happy-crying. You'll choose your favorite images for prints, albums, digital files, and wall art.
Spokesmodel Program
Are you a rising senior who loves being in front of the camera? My Spokesmodel Program is back for 2026, and I'm looking for a small group of confident, fun seniors to represent Emily Finger Photography. Spokesmodels get an exclusive session experience, special perks, and the chance to be featured across my website and social media. If you're outgoing, love fashion, and want to be part of something special, apply here. Spots are limited and applications close each spring.
Celebrate who you are in this moment.
Graduation Photography
You spent years working toward this degree — your graduation portraits should reflect that. Whether you're walking across the stage at the University of Tampa, the University of Illinois, or any campus in between, I'll capture this milestone with the same relaxed, genuine experience I bring to every session.
More Than Cap & Gown Photos
We'll start with the classic cap-and-gown portraits on campus — iconic buildings, tree-lined paths, and all the spots that meant something to you. Then we'll switch into your personal style for images that show who you are beyond the diploma. I travel to campuses across Illinois and Florida, so no matter where you studied, we can make it happen.
Every session includes professional hair and makeup, outfit changes (cap and gown plus 1-2 personal looks), on-campus and off-campus locations, and images perfect for announcements, LinkedIn, your parents' wall, and — let's be honest — your Instagram. Bring your friends, your family, your dog. The more the merrier.
Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to my senior portrait session?
You don't have to figure this out alone. After you book, we'll have a styling consultation where we plan every outfit together. I recommend bringing 3-4 looks that mix dressy, casual, and something that's just very you. You'll also have access to my client closet — jackets, accessories, and statement pieces to elevate your looks. I'll send a style guide with color palette inspiration tailored to your session location and time of year.
Is professional hair and makeup included?
Yes — every senior session includes professional hair and makeup on the day of your shoot. You show up, get pampered, and feel completely yourself before we even pick up the camera. It makes a real difference in your confidence, and it photographs beautifully. Moms, you're welcome to get a blowout or touch-up too if you'd like to jump in for a few mother-daughter portraits.
How long does a senior session last and what's included?
Sessions run about two to two and a half hours — plenty of time for professional hair and makeup, 3-4 outfit changes, and multiple locations. No rushing. We keep things relaxed so you feel comfortable the whole time. Your session includes a pre-shoot styling consultation, the full shoot day with hair and makeup, and a reveal appointment where you'll choose your favorite images for prints, albums, and digital files. Investment starts at $1,500.
When should I book my senior portraits?
Most seniors book 2-3 months in advance, and fall sessions (September through early November) fill up the fastest. I recommend reaching out the spring or summer before your senior year to lock in your preferred date. If you're interested in the Spokesmodel Program, applications open in early spring. Booking later? Reach out anyway — I always try to make it work.
Where do you shoot senior sessions?
On Chicago's North Shore, I love shooting in Winnetka, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Wilmette, Evanston, and Glencoe — lakefront parks, charming downtown streets, gardens, golden-hour fields. In South Florida, we have beautiful beach locations, tropical gardens, and urban backdrops in Tampa and the surrounding area. During your styling consultation, we'll pick locations that match the vibe you're going for.
What Seniors & Parents Are Saying
“I was so nervous going in, but Emily made me feel like myself — just the best version. The hair and makeup set the tone for the whole day, and she kept me laughing the entire time. When I saw the photos I teared up. They're genuinely beautiful. Half my grade has asked me who my photographer was.”
“My son wanted nothing to do with senior pictures. He told me it would be 'the worst hour of his life.' He came home from his session saying it was actually fun and asking when he could see the photos. She just has a way of making guys feel at ease. The portraits are natural, relaxed, and so perfectly him.”
“Emily photographed both of my daughters' senior portraits two years apart, and each session felt completely different — because they're completely different people. My older daughter wanted editorial and fashion-forward; my younger wanted beachy and bohemian. Emily got both right. The prints in our hallway are my favorite things in this house.”
“I drove up from Tampa for my session with Emily and I'm so glad I did. She planned everything — the locations in Highland Park were beautiful, the styling was perfect, and the hair and makeup made me feel so confident. Honestly the whole day just felt special. If you're on the fence, just book it.”
